The International Association of TransVoice Surgeons (IATVS) represents a prestigious global consortium of otolaryngologists from 24 countries specializing in voice surgery. This annual conference is a premier platform for academic exchange and research presentations among leading voice surgeons worldwide. Following its inaugural conference in Berlin, Germany (June 9-11, 2022) and second gathering in Mumbai, India (November 3-5, 2023), the third annual conference convened at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, South Korea, on November 9-10, 2024. Under the theme "Shaping the Future of Voice," the conference featured comprehensive programming on cutting-edge laryngeal surgery techniques and voice rehabilitation therapies. The scientific program included two distinguished keynote speakers, 36 themed presentations, two round-table discussions, and a panel discussion, fostering intensive dialogue and knowledge exchange.
The two-day conference provided an exceptional opportunity to showcase Korea’s pioneering achievements in voice surgery. Yeson Voice Center, in particular, highlighted its exclusive expertise in advanced voice feminization surgery, presenting six specialized topics that demonstrated Korea’s leadership in innovative voice surgical techniques to the global medical community.
This international symposium drew participation from 26 countries, bringing together voice specialists and speech-language pathologists from diverse regions. Attendees represented leading medical institutions across Europe (including Germany, United Kingdom, Finland, Belgium, Sweden, and Estonia), Central Asia (Thailand and Philippines), and the Americas (United States, Canada, and Brazil). The conference’s scholarly discourse and presentations effectively spotlighted Korea’s excellence in medical tourism.
