Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine Successfully Hosts 2026 AJA International Conference in the U.S.

Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine successfully hosted the 2026 Annual Jaseng Academic (AJA) International Conference in Indianapolis, United States, bringing together medical experts from Korea and abroad to discuss the latest developments in integrative medicine.

Held under the theme “East Meets West: An Integrative Approach to Musculoskeletal Health Across the Lifespan,” the conference explored ways to integrate Eastern and Western medical approaches to improve musculoskeletal health from childhood through older adulthood.

A total of 50 medical experts participated as speakers, including faculty members from the Indiana University School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. Approximately 200 healthcare professionals from various countries attended the conference.

The two-day program featured four keynote lectures and 11 sessions covering a wide range of topics in integrative medicine.

On the first day, experts discussed pain management, examples of integrating acupuncture into U.S. hospital settings, brain health, and other areas demonstrating the expanding role of integrative medicine beyond musculoskeletal care.

On the second day, discussions expanded to clinical treatment and mechanism-based research, including musculoskeletal medicine and prosthetic treatment, research into the mechanisms of myofascial therapy, oncology, and exercise therapy related to aging.

Park Byung-mo, Chairman of the Jaseng Medical Foundation, said the conference provided a meaningful opportunity to share research achievements and clinical experiences from Eastern and Western medicine and explore the future direction of integrative medicine.

He added that Jaseng will continue academic exchanges and research collaboration with researchers worldwide to help strengthen the scientific evidence supporting integrative medicine.
