Korea University Anam Hospital Hosts “2026 Mongolian Patients’ Night,” Expanding Healthcare Cooperation

Korea University Anam Hospital is strengthening its network with patients and major healthcare organizations in Mongolia as part of its efforts to expand international healthcare cooperation.

The hospital’s International Health Care Center hosted the “2026 Mongolian Patients’ Night” on August 13 at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The event brought together approximately 100 participants, including Prof. Seung-Bum Han, President of Korea University Anam Hospital; Prof. Sang-Hoon Lee, Director of the International Health Care Center; Prof. Sung-Koo Kang, Director of the Robotic Surgery Center; and Mongolian patients who had received treatment at Korea University Anam Hospital.

Representatives and medical professionals from major local organizations also attended, including the Korea Tourism Organization’s Mongolia Office, Intermed Hospital, Mongolia’s Center for Health Development (CHD), and the Korea University Alumni Association in Mongolia.

The event was organized to strengthen ties with Mongolian patients who had received treatment at the hospital and to expand cooperation with local healthcare organizations.

Following welcoming remarks by President Seung-Bum Han, Prof. Sang-Hoon Lee and Prof. Sung-Koo Kang delivered health lectures on gynecologic cancer and prostate cancer, respectively. Patients who had received treatment at Korea University Anam Hospital also shared their treatment experiences and had an opportunity to communicate directly with medical professionals.

Discussions with participating organizations focused on practical areas of cooperation, including joint promotional activities utilizing local networks, exchanges of medical professionals in specialized fields such as cancer treatment and robotic surgery, and the establishment of systems for treating patients with severe and complex conditions and providing follow-up care in Mongolia.

Korea University Anam Hospital plans to continue expanding treatment for severe and complex cases based on its network with local institutions in Mongolia while pursuing a range of international healthcare cooperation initiatives, including medical professional exchanges and joint promotional activities.
