KIMA logo Prior to the visit of Myanmar Minister of Health in September, the medical tourism inspection team visited the hospital Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital‘s effort to pioneer the Myanmar Medical markets is coming to fruition.Myanmar Minister of Health is scheduled to visit the hospital in September and a few patients suffering from serious illnesses such as cancer and joint problem will also be treated in the hospital.On August 22nd, the last Thursday, Myanmar medical tourism inspection team visited Hwasun Hospital for pre-checking.Myanmar's inspection team is composed of 3 people: Joseph White (59), the president of loyalty group, and Jin WaiWai Nin (27 • F) in charge of medical tourism and Kin Mar Qu (55 • F), the director of nurse service in Myanmar Armed Forces Combined Hospital. Inspection team looked around hospital facilities, wards, state-of-the-art equipment, and environment including the healing forests. They are satisfied with hospital’s medical competitiveness in the field of cancer and joint, and safe & friendly service proven by JCI international accreditation, and its system of attracting foreign patients. President White said 'In Southeast Asia, including Myanmar, Hanryu (Korean wave) is getting more popular and many people are interested in Korea’s outstanding medical technology. Also we have lot of Buddhists in Myanmar and they prefer the hospital where they can recuperate themselves than hospitals in metropolitan city.” Sin Jeong, the acting director of Hwasun hospital said “Tens of thousands of Myanmar people go to nearby countries like Thailand or Singapore to get medical treatment or a surgery. In our hospital, patients can get cancer & joint treatment and also recreation of mind and body at the same time.
