The “Global Healthcare Merit Awards” is the highest-level government recognition presented to institutions and individuals who have contributed to the development of the global healthcare industry, including attracting international patients, expanding overseas medical services, and strengthening international medical cooperation.
Now in its 16th year, Medical Korea 2026 is considered one of Korea’s leading global healthcare events. Under the theme “AI-driven personalized healthcare becomes a part of everyday life,” the event features a variety of programs such as forums, exhibitions, and business meetings.
Since its establishment in 2003, Hanyang University International Hospital has accumulated over 20 years of experience in international medical services. In particular, it has achieved world-class results in areas such as ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) cell therapy and personalized treatment. Through these efforts, the hospital has contributed to enhancing Korea’s medical competitiveness by promoting the country’s advanced medical technology and reliability in the global market.
In addition, the hospital has played a pivotal role in expanding the global presence of Korean healthcare by establishing dedicated medical systems for international patients, strengthening global medical networks, and promoting international medical cooperation.
Director Lim Young-hyo stated, “This award is the result of the dedication of all our staff who have worked to promote the value of Korean healthcare worldwide since the hospital’s establishment. We will continue to advance AI-based personalized medical services and contribute to strengthening Korea’s global medical competitiveness as a trusted healthcare provider for international patients.”
