- The UAE Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital (SKSH) Selected as 'The Most Innovative Hospital' - Excellence in Customer satisfaction, Medical treatment, Education research, Patient safety, and Medical qualitySeoul National University Hospital once again proved its world-class health care level. The UAE Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital, run by Seoul National University Hospital, was selected as the 'Most Innovative Hospital' at the 'The UAE Healthcare Innovation Award' hosted by the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) on February 13. Seoul National University Hospital has been entrusted operating the Royal Sheikh Khalifa Hospital (SKSH), the United Arab Emirates since 2014. At that time, it was the first Korean medical institution to win the entrust the operation rights of an overseas general hospital-level medical institution. Last year, in recognition of its excellent management over the past five years, it has been re-signed the entrusting operation.

The UAE Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital applied for innovation areas in three award categories of awards: innovation, culture, and internal and external cooperation. Specifically, 30 medical innovation projects conducted in 2018-19 was submitted and was nominated for the award. Subsequently, it was selected as the final winner after conducting a field survey by the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention. Following the first entrusting operation and renewal of the contract, the excellence of Seoul National University Hospital was recognized again.
