The department of nursing in Ewha Womans University Medical Center participated as instructors in a two-year diploma course of nurse education for 50 Cambodia students with regard to MoU with University of Health Science, Cambodia. For this program, Ewha nurses made thorough preparations by practicing guidelines based on core nursing skills, OSCE Procedure, and diagnosis, treatment and patient care, about major diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and colitis in English. They also had a time to understand local culture, environment, climate in Cambodia before they met the local students. Assistant director of the department of nursing, Eunkyung Byeon, said “We will keep boosting pride and promoting morale of our nursing team in Ewha Womans University Medical Center and support to strengthen individual development as well.”
