On February 2nd 2016, Gachon University Gil Medical Center signed an MOU with Kyrgyzstan President Hospital to build a cooperative relationship. A few professors including Prof. Kook-Yang Park of Cardiothoracic department and Prof. Oh-Sang Kwon visited Kyrgyzstan from January 26th to 30th. They met Hospital Director Marat Akimovich and made an agreement, which maintains friendly and cooperative relations between two medical organizations. In 2012, Gachon University Gil Medical Center invited Kyrgyzstan children who were suffering from heart problems, which was the first try ever in Korea. Since 2012, 31 Kyrgyzstan children had medical procedures for heart diseases in Gachon University Gil Medical Center.
