On 22nd of January 2016, Pusan National University Hospital and Kyushu University Hospital, Japan signed the MOU to exchange specialized knowledge, professional manpower, and education that are related to hospital infection management. Furthermore, this agreement will help both of them to open symposium on hospital infection management and deal with contagious diseases worldwide that are rapidly fluctuating. On 23rd of January, the 3rd Korea-Japan Infection Control Symposium was held at an auditorium in JR HAKATA City. A discussion session and nine presentations including a bloodstream infection, hand hygiene regimen, and MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) took place. One of the speakers, Professor Shin-Won Lee of Pusan National University Hospital, made presentations on 'A Trend of Bloodstream Infections of Multi-resistant Bacteria Occurred in Pusan National University Hospital'. The 4th Infection Control Symposium will be held at Pusan National University Hospital in 2017.
