Recently, the rich from Moscow, Russia rush to Korean hospitals. A few years ago, there used to be a trend that people living in Far East like Khabarovsk and Vladivostok visited Korean hospitals due to short travel time, less than 2 hours. However, the rich from Russia is now considered a cash-cow for Korean Medical Tourism. Despite Russian economic slowdown in 2015, the Russian rich showed the biggest interest in Korean medical travel. On Yandex, the most popular search engine in Russia, more than 1.5 million visitors questioned about Korean medical tour. An expertise in the medical tour industry said that 61 percent of citizens in Russia do complain about low quality of Russian medical service and system even though there are around 40 thousand doctors in Russia. That is why thousands of Russians fly to Korea for having treatment done. It is said that Korean own culture called 'Cheong' and friendly attitude toward them are appealing.
