A Cardio-thoracic Surgery Team of Chonnam National University Hospital recently came back to hometown after helping Cambodian patients in Hebron Cambodia Hospital. In the aftermath of Cambodian Civil War in the 1970s, Cambodia still needs lots of medical supports and investment. The medical volunteer team was organized of 8 medical staff who were specialized in cardiothoracic surgeries. They performed heart surgeries for 7 patients in Hebron Cambodia Hospital. With the cooperation of the local staff, the resulf of the operation leds great success. Due to well trained staff in the hospital, they could finish planned heart surgeries even though there was a blackout during the surgeries. This medical volunteer in Cambodia was greatly highlighted by the natives.
