7 children patients from the Caribbean nation of Haiti gained their health back after having had heart surgeries in November 2015 in Samsung Medical Center. In both last year and this year, Samsung Medical Center agreed to have the children who suffered from congenital heart problems treated and they were invited to Korea with GIL Ministry's support. On November 20th, a celebration was held to rejoice the Haitian children as well as thank The Korea Heart Foundation, The Korean Cardiac Research Foundation, and officials. Cardiologist Tae-Guk Jeon, who performed the children's heart surgery, said 'I couldn't be happier to see these 7 healthy and lovely children after the successful cardio surgery.'
