On 10 September, KEB Hana Bank made an MOU with Korea Health Industry Development Institute and Korea International Medical Association in order to boost medical tourism. This MOU involves creating a finance product like 'medical payment service' and mutual support. The three organizations have had meetings since February and hosted discussion with hospitals. A very positive practice will be induced by the medical payment service, which is going to be developed for the first time ever in Korea. It will help international patients make VISA issued conveniently. Also, hospitals can lower the risk of customer default. Byung-Hee Oh, President of KIMA said that this MOU is going to be a good example of cooperation between the government, medical institutes, banking company, and facilitator.
