Jae-Hoon Song M.D. PhD, President&CEO of Samsung Medical Center held a press conference on 2nd of September and announced their follow-up measures against MERS virus. Samsung Medical Center will renovate its whole process and concept on 'patient safety' and 'quality of consultation' which were planned by diverse opinions both inside and outside of SMC. They set up 4 follow-up measures; supporting a MERS vaccine development, innovating overall E.M.S (Emergency Medical Service), improving infrastructure for patient safety, and reforming hospital management. Jae-Hoon Song, President & CEO, SMC promised that SMC will do carry out the plans for sure and do their best to increase quality of medical service as well as patient safety. Moreover, any advice for better follow-up measures will be welcomed and considered. Again, he apologized to the country for MERS outbreak. 100 billion Won will be invested by Samsung Foundation.
