August 2015 marked the first anniversary of UAE Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital (Director Seong, Myung-Hun), which opened its operation in February after Seoul National University Hospital (Director Oh, Byung-Hee) had a contract to become a practical runner of UAE Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital.
For this one month of July, 1,200 outpatients visited Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital and a hundred of patients were admitted to the wards. Since its opening, it was 7,000 for outpatients and around 570 for inpatients. Also, 140 surgical cases were performed at the cardio thoracic, neurosurgery departments.
With these records, SKSH; Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital are recognized as one of the most successful and influential tertiary hospital in UAE. 85 percent of the referred patients to SKSH were from the entire UAE and the rest came from overseas, which represented that SKSH were becoming popular.
