After JCI certification, Chonnam and Busan medical center has a high credibility to international patients. Since 2011, they operated international medical center and provide interpreters and international medical insurance system.
Chonnam medical center recorded as the most growth rate on international patient visiting in 2013. They said “although we locate very far from Inchon airport, we position as one of the best cancer treatment medical facility in Asia”.
Busan medical center opened international medical center in 2012 and 13,294 international patients visited since then. From 2013 to 2014, 49% more international patient visited Busan medical center. The international medical center in Busan provides very comfortable waiting room and TV programs in variety of languages. For in-patient, there is a separated bed for international patients only.
