Cheju Halla General Hospital Rated “First Class” in COPD Treatment Evaluation  Cheju Halla General Hospital (President Kim Sung-soo) gained recognition for its excellence in treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The hospital announced on March 30 that they had been rated “First Class” in the seventh COPD Treatment Suitability Evaluation according to results published by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service on March 29.This is the fifth time that Cheju Halla General Hospital earned the “First Class” rating in the COPD treatment evaluation. The result is from the evaluation carried out on all medical institutions across the country that treated COPD patients aged 40 and older between 2020 and 2021. The factors that were evaluated include the rate of execution of the lung function test necessary for accurate diagnosis, visits to patients for monitoring of the results and prevention of complications, and the percentage of patients prescribed bronchodilators that are recommended as the preferred treatment method. COPD is a common respiratory disease, the main symptom of which is dyspnea, or difficult breathing.As of 2020, the observed main deaths from chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD, bronchiectasis, and bronchitis was 66.0 per 100,000 population among those aged 65 and older, and chronic respiratory diseases are the 11th leading cause of death in Korea. +82-43-713-8997~9 kimakorea@khidi.or.kr

Cheju Halla General Hospital (President Kim Sung-soo) gained recognition for its excellence in treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). 


The hospital announced on March 30 that they had been rated “First Class” in the seventh COPD Treatment Suitability Evaluation according to results published by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service on March 29.


This is the fifth time that Cheju Halla General Hospital earned the “First Class” rating in the COPD treatment evaluation.
