Local cauterization team, Liver cancer center of Samsung Medical Center announced world’s frist achievement of Early High Frequency Heat Therapy on ‘reoccurred tiny liver cancer of under 1cm’ for patients who have received the radical treatment due to liver cell cancer for 3 years from January 2012 to December 2014. The result of this study was published in the recent issue of <Radiology>, Journal of North American Radiological Society, which is the most authoritative journal in the field of radiology.The research team can find out 144 liver cancers(68.6%) from 210 tiny liver cancers in total by using the fused video technology of ultrasonic wave and MRI using navigation system from 186 patients who showed reoccurred tiny liver cancer of under 1cm. The treatment for 125 liver cancers from all the fine liver cancers was conducted, the success rate of treatment was 98.4% which is very high. It was proved that Early High Frequency Heat Therapy using fused video is very effective and stable for the early diagnosis and treatment of reoccurred tiny liver cancer.
