On 30th October, 2015, Chonnam National University Hospital planned to transport an American professor Victor Margolin under the most safe environment to RUSH Hospital in Chicago, where is his hometown. Professor Victor Margolin collapsed out of sudden on 17th October while he was giving a presentation at Eeum: Design Connects, International Design Congress 2015. His cervical spine was damaged and it caused pneumonia and diplegia. Following his wishes, Chonnam National University Hospital arranged a transfer via Asiana airplane with medical staff kept on his bedside. They all brought medical devices for any emergency case like vital sign monitors, infusion pumps, an air bed, and Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (IPC), and medication boxes.
