Seoul National University Hospital Professor Curie Ahn (fourth from the left) received Polaris medal from Mongolia government.
According to the hospital, Polaris medal from Mongolia government is the best award given to a foreinger. U.S president Barack Obama and Russia president Vladimir Putin also received this medal for contribution of Mongolia's development.
Professor Ahn was recognized for great contribution to medical exhanges between Mongolia and Korea, health promotion of Mongolian natives through education, train trainees, and foster medical human resources.
Professor Ahn also has been putting much effort to improve medical standards in developing countries such as Mongolia by establishing ‘Raphael International Clinic’ in 2007.
