Bobath Memorial Hospital (President Na Hae-ri) under the management of Lotte Medical Foundation announced that it has greatly shortened the MRI examination time and enhanced the accuracy by adopting the latest MRI equipment.
The equipment model is the Canon 3.0T MRI Vantage Galan, capable of taking ultra-precise brain and musculoskeletal images with excellent resolution and diagnostic accuracy. The Vantage Galan was specifically developed for diagnosing brain, blood vessel, spine, and joint diseases and has a strengthened magnet, the core technological component of MRI equipment, to ensure magnetic field uniformity for high-quality images.
In addition to providing high-resolution images, the equipment requires less time for the examination thanks to automation. A brain scan, for example, can be performed in just 7 minutes, which is great news for claustrophobic patients as well as elderly and emergency patients.
Lotte Medical Foundation’s Bobath Memorial Hospital was founded in 2002 to present a hospital model that provides specialized geriatric treatment in combination with rehabilitation programs. It has been cited as a new model for nursing and rehabilitation hospitals in recognition of its advanced medical services, including the Bobath Rehabilitation Therapy Program, and its brand value is recognized by domestic and overseas healthcare sectors.
Bobath has gained a reputation for its excellent medical services that surpass those of general hospitals despite its nursing hospital status. Such services include rehabilitation therapy for the central nervous system, cognition, and cranial nerves, therapy for neurological diseases such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and stroke, as well as for severe adult diseases of the endocrine, digestive, and respiratory systems, hospice care for terminally ill patients, and health screening programs.
It is also taking the lead in social contribution by performing medical volunteer work in the local community, providing financial assistance to low-income patients and terminally ill cancer patients for medical expenses and nursing expenses, and offering hospice support and scholarships, alongside Lotte Group. This is one of many reasons the hospital is greatly admired and supported by local residents.
“With the introduction of the new MRI equipment, we are now able to provide even higher-quality medical services. Going forward, we will continue to improve the quality of our medical services and make greater efforts to become the most trusted hospital for geriatric care as a product of various social contribution activities carried out together with Lotte,” said Na Hae-ri, President of Bobath Memorial Hospital.
