A Korean NGO, Global Village Love-Sharing invited Maya in October 2015 and had her receive the arm surgery in Asan Medical Center recently. At the series of examinations, lymphadenoma that may cause poor circulation, were found. After The Kukmin Daily's first report about her story (7th November 2015), her surgery went successful supported by Asan Foundation. It took about 2 hours to have her arm surgery done on 14th January 2016 and she finally has got discharged on 15th January 2016. Even though her right arm is still heavier than the others and cannot walk by herself, she is happy as she is seeing the silver lining here. Professor Joon-Oh, Yoon who was in charge of Maya's orthopedic surgery said that 'Her first surgery, the constriction band removal, went well. The second step to treat lymphadenoma and radial nerve palsy is set up for her. All the expenses will be supported by Asan Foundation.' +82-43-713-8999, 8998, 8997 kimakorea@khidi.or.kr
