Gachon University Gil Hospital Invited a Vietnamese Cleft Lip and Palate Infant KIMA logo On 3rd February, Gachon University Gil Hospital announced that a 5 month-old Vietnamese Infant, Pham Ngoc Huyen was discharged on 16th January after having had a successful cleft lip surgery. While professor Hyun-Min Kim's team was doing medical service in Ho Chi Minh City last November, they found Pham Ngoc Huyen who was desperately in need. Her cleft lip and palate was in the severe stage but her parents were not able to go to see a surgeon due to their low income and poor healthcare level in the area. Luckily, a few groups of medical service teams supported her to stay in Korea for surgery. Professor Kim is going to invite her again next year and carry out the palate surgery as a follow-up. +82-43-713-8999, 8998, 8997 kimakorea@khidi.or.kr
