Treat Ugandan 9 Year Old Boy\'s Syndactylia KIMA logo Seoul St. Mary's Hospital's orthopedic surgeons treated Arinda, a 9-year old Ugandan boy this October. He used to have 6 toes on his right foot. This congenital malformation is not considered rare as its incidence is one out of 10,000. However, he could never find a surgical cure and take care of this in Uganda. Also, he used to be abused by his father and was raised without his mother. His neighbor asked 'Kkottongnae', a social welfare organization, to take care of him in 2009. Even at the center, he was bullied due to his 6 toes. Finally, last March, Sister Ok-Dan Kim met Arinda and came back to Korea for his surgery. One of the top surgeons, Young-Ouk Im happily agreed to treat his syndactylia. The surgery went quite successfully and Arinda is going back to Uganda in this November. +82-43-713-8999, 8998, 8997 kimakorea@khidi.or.kr
