Gachon University Gil Hospital in Incheon held a briefing session to embark on '2015 Dr. Lee, Jong-Wook Medical Education and Training for Overseas Doctors'. This medical program was created to support medical service system among developing countries as well as carry on the spirit of Dr. Lee, Jong-Wook, who was the former WHO secretary general.
In this year, Physician Sydykbekova Asel Keldibekovna and Neurologist Abdisamatova Aida were selected to learn Korean hospital culture and have medical training in Gachon University Gil Hospital. After this course is finished, they will go back to their hometown to cultivate local medical environment and technique. Also, there will be close bond between Gil Hospital and two trainees which will build a team to conduct medical study and community service activities later on.
