Daejeon Sun Hospital Voted as the Friendliest Hospital Most Popular to International Patients: Survey KIMA logo A survey conducted by DTNews24 showed that the Sun Hospital is the friendliest hospital in the area with the highest number of international patients. This was revealed through a survey conducted by DTNews24, the biggest online newspaper south of Han River, to commemorate its 14th anniversary. The Daejeon Sun Hospital scored highest in the “Hospitality” and “Attracting International Patients” categories in the survey on the general hospitals situated in the Daejeon area. The survey was conducted by sending multiple choice questionnaires via e-mail to the 340,000 newsletter subscribers of DTNews24. The e-mails were sent out on July 8 and the survey closed at 6PM the following day with 468 respondents. On the question “Which hospital is the friendliest?” with 8 choices of general hospitals in the Daejeon area listed alphabetically, 120 respondents (25.6%) chose the Sun Hospital. Konyang University Hospital (102 respondents, 21.8%) and the Catholic University of Korea Daejeon St. Mary’s Hospital (93 respondents, 19.9%) were in the second and third place respectively, followed by Chungnam National University Hospital (81 respondents, 17.3%), Eulji University Hospital (45 respondents, 9.6%), Dae Chong Hospital (21 respondents, 4.5%) and the Daejeon Hankook Hospital (6 respondents, 1.3%). 179 respondents (38.2%) answered that Sun Hospital was also the hospital with the highest number of international patients. Chungnam National University Hospital was in second place with 99 votes (21.2%), closely followed by Konyang University Hospital with 93 votes (19.9%). The Catholic University of Korea Daejeon St. Mary’s Hospital scored 45 votes (9.6%), Eulji University Hospital 42 (9.2%), Dae Chong Hospital 6 (1.3%) and the Daejeon Hankook Hospital 3 (0.6%) respectively.
