Ulsan University Hospital is widely regarded as a medical training hospital for international medical personnel.
The number of international medical trainees visiting Ulsan University Hospital is increasing. A total of 12 international trainees visited the hospital to learn Korean advanced medicine in August, this year. In recent 5 years, 32 foreign trainees from 11 countries received short and long training from the hospital. The trainees from various nations such as New Zealand, Kazakhstan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, India and Malaysia preferred departments of internal medicine and general surgery, followed by orthopedics, neurosurgery and obstetrics. “We believe that providing educational opportunities and promoting international exchange will contribute to the improvement of quality-of-care of Ulsan University Hospital and the development of local medical care in the future,” said Yangwon Na, the deputy director of education at Ulsan University Hospital.
