Estabilished in 1958 as the Lee Gil Ya`s Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic. Gachon University Gil Medical center has grown up to a University affiliated hospital equipped with more than 1.100beds in 9 specialized medical centers including Woman`s Center, Heart Center, Gastroenterology Center, Spine Center, Neuroscience Center, Dental Center, etc. It will be restructured into a mammoth class healthcare complex with more than 2.000beds when the 19-storied Cancer Center is completed. With the well organized cooperation Neuroscience Research institute(now developing a hybrid fusion imaging system of 7T MRI and HRRT-PET, the first in the world). the Lee Gil Ya`s Cancer and Diabetes institute(a global biomedical R&D complex) and Gachon institute for Systems Medicine, high quality medical services are being provided for the patients from all over the world.
